Speech Language Pathologist
Provide screening, evaluation and treatment of children ages birth to 8 years with a variety of developmental delays and disabilities to maximize functional communication, feeding, play and social skills.  This position will work in multiple settings including the agency’s preschool, community settings and in the child’s natural environment (home). 

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
  • Missouri license eligible
  • Experience effectively partnering with parents/family members
  • Ability to work successfully with trans-disciplinary team

The above position is full-time, but part-time applicants may be considered.

Accounting and Payroll/HR Specialist
This position is responsible for a wide variety of duties including month-end closing, accounts payable, payroll processing, benefit administration, general HR functions, assisting with cash management and financial reporting.   

Responsibilities

Financial accounting:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review general ledger for missing items and errors
  • Code and post cash receipts to general ledger
  • Process weekly tuition billings
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records

Accounts Payable:

  • Process/code invoices and generate accurate and timely payments
  • Preparation and filing of 1099s
  • Maintain petty cash

Payroll processing: 

  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Calculate and report garnishments
  • Calculate and maintain balances for Paid Time Off (PTO) and Extended Medical Leave Benefit (EMLB)

Benefit Administration:

  • Process enrollments and changes in benefit coverages
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of premiums for employee benefits
  • Transmit employee contributions to 403(b) retirement plans
  • Record distributions from flexible spending accounts

Human Resource Coordination:

  • Create and maintain employee personnel files
  • Report new hire information
  • Collect and maintain  I-9s for all employees
  • Complete employment verification requests

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Excel skills (intermediate level)
  • Candidates should possess at least 5 years of general accounting experience and at least 3 years of payroll/HR experience.

Children's TLC - Wyandotte County Infant-Toddler Services Office

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
The Speech Language Pathologist in the Wyandotte County Infant-Toddler Services program serves eligible infants and toddlers and their families in home and community-based settings.  The SLP engages in evaluation, program planning, caregiver coaching, and team collaboration in order to work toward family-identified outcomes for each child, taking particular leadership in communication development.
 
 
Primary Tasks & Duties

  • Work as a transdisciplinary team member to collaboratively serve eligible infants and toddlers
  • Participate in team evaluations to determine the eligibility of referred children
  • Participate in team assessment to determine the functional developmental strengths/challenges of eligible children
  • Work together with families and other team members to develop appropriate Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) based upon family-identified priorities
  • Deliver ongoing home and community based intervention based upon the IFSP utilizing a coaching model of caregiver support
  • Provide and seek coaching and consultation to team members in the service of all children in the program
  • Complete appropriate documentation for accountability, billing, and communication with other providers
  • Provide Family Service Coordination including management of the intervention process as well as referral to and collaboration with other community resources for assigned families

Requirements

  • SLP Credential from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CFY considered) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Physical/Environmental / Other

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work comfortably in a variety of positions including seated on the floor
  • Ability to work in a variety of home and community settings including the ability to ascend/descend stairs

The SLP position listed above for the Wyandotte County Infant-Toddler Servers program is a full-time position with a progressive early intervention program.  tiny-k Early Intervention serves infants and toddlers, birth to three with specials needs, and their families, in Wyandotte County, KS. Applicants must have experience working with young children and families,  and conducting home visits. Team uses Primary Coach and EBP.

Clerical/Data Entry Clerk  (part-time)
The Clerical/Data Entry Clerk at the Wyandotte County Infant-Toddler Services office will be a part-time (20 hours/week) and will have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining ITS (Infant-Toddler Service) records and process records request
  • Maintaining ITS (Infant-Toddler Service) database
  • Maintaining agency brochures and other publicity/ educational materials
  • Troubleshooting basic technological and office equipment problems
  • Producing routine documents and maintaining hard copy and computer filing systems
  • Maintaining parent mailing list
  • Managing process for obtaining physicians orders

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma, Associates Degree preferred.
  • Must have previous success in a data entry/secretarial/clerical position exhibiting a high degree of accuracy.
  • Previous knowledge and skills in office technology, practices and procedures.
  • Must have excellent telephone and computer skills.
  • Prefer bilingual in Spanish and English, both oral and written skills.
  • Must have ability to communicate with all staff and public in a concise, effective, and pleasant manner both orally and in writing.
  • Previous experience maintaining confidential written and verbal information required.

Social Worker
The Social Worker for the Wyandotte County Infant-Toddler Services program will engage in evaluation, program planning, caregiver coaching, and team collaboration in order to work toward family-identified outcomes for each child’s mental health, coordinating community resources and challenging behaviors. The Salary High for this position is $40,000, and the Salary Low is $36,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake and screening visits (to determine eligibility for services) at the family’s home, childcare or other natural setting.
  • Work together with families and other team members to develop appropriate Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) based upon family-identified priorities
  • Provide Family Service Coordination which includes identifying, mobilizing, and coordinating community resources and services to enable the family to receive the maximum benefits from early intervention services
  • Deliver ongoing home and community based intervention utilizing a coaching model of caregiver support to integrate developmental activities into the child’s daily routines.
  • Comprehensively assess the child, including gathering information on the family dynamics and living situation, with particular focus on the child’s social emotional development and the parent-child relationship.
  • Provide individual and family-group counseling with parents and other caregivers or family members, and appropriate social skill building and behavior management strategies with the child and family.

Qualifications

  • Social workers must hold a current and valid license issued by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, at the Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW),or Temporary Licensed Master’s Social Worker (TLMSW or LMSWT) level, or be licensed as school social worker by the Kansas State Board of Education.
  • Evidence of successful experience in the evaluation and treatment of young children with disabilities or developmental delays and their families
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through written and spoken language
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members of other disciplines (e.g. SLP, OT, ECSE, PT, Nurse, Interpreter)
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to encompass activities in and out of the office.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
