Summer Programs for 2009

Way Cool Pool School
Adult and Child Water Fun

Goal: Physical Therapists will work with you and your child together in our state-of-the-art indoor, warm water therapy pool. You will learn pool activities and pre-swimming skills which can help your child's physical development.
Benefits: Increase flexibility; promote relaxation; increase strength, coordination, balance and water confidence.
Instructors: Classes conducted by Pediatric Physical Therapists with experience in aquatic therapy. Note: Adults are required to participate and be in the water.

Fee: $28 for a 4 week session
Class dates: July 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.
Class sizes are limited to 10 children per class, and there are two class options:

"Whales" 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. (3 - 5 yrs. old)
"Minnows" 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. (0 - 2 yrs. old)

Karma Kids
Adult and Child Yoga-Like Fun

Goal: Using fun, familiar preschool themes, Pediatric Physical Therapists will teach you to do yoga-based exercises with your child.
Benefits: Increase flexibility; promote relaxation and body awareness; increase strength, coordination, balance and posture.
Instructors: Classes conducted by Pediatric Physical Therapists with yoga experience.
Note: Adults are expected to help with the Babies and Toddlers class, as well as with any child who has significant physical limitations. Preschools are allowed to work independently, if able.

Fee: $30 for a 4 week session
Class dates: July 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th.
*Registration deadline for Karma Kids is Monday, June 29th
Class sizes are limited to 8 children per class, and there are two class options:

"Preschoolers" 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. (3 - 5 yrs. old)
"Babies & Toddlers" 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. (0 - 2 yrs. old)

Way Cool Pool School and Karma Kids classes are not considered physical therapy. We reserve the right to determine if this class is appropriate for your child.

If necessary, Children's TLC reserves the right to require a physician's medical release to determine appropriateness of child's participation in any activity.
